Summary:

Teachers will learn how to apply simple music improvisation tools to their classroom through the use of Dr. James Oshinsky's Music Doctor Improv Cards and Picture Prompts. Research shows that social music improvisation strengthens connectedness among students, teachers, and their school. Increased connectedness improves the social and emotional health of students and can improve students' overall academic success in school. Most importantly, when students feel more connected to others they are less likely to participate in suicidal ideation.

Come prepared to improvise both vocally and instrumentally as we will learn by doing in this immersive and hands-on session! Anything can make music and there are NO WRONG NOTES!
