  • This course will present a clear understanding of the history and philosophy of both SEL and the Orff approach, including data findings and an understanding of why they fit so organically together within the music classroom.

  • Investigate methods to engage students using Bruner’s modes of representation. Develop effective strategies for a supportive atmosphere in the elementary general music classroom. Identify inclusive approaches to behavior management. Discuss strategies for promoting student engagement.
